Wallnut Hills Campground (www.walnuthillscampground.com) is just off I-64 in central Virginia at the Shenandoah Valley. We dropped in for a quick stopover, and was pleasantly supplied to find a charming little campground with a beautiful lake and a small creek that winds its way through campsites. We stopped while the remnants of Hurricane Helene was saturating the area, but we still enjoyed our stay.

Some campsites are along the creek, and some are along the lake. All are spacious and very nice. There are also cabins available on the hillside with a view of the lake.
This video shows the creek that runs alongside our campsite.

Amenities include a swimming pool, playground, dog park, and Frisbee golf.
